When we imagine a goldsmith workshop, we often think of skilled hands, ancient tools, and precious materials. But more and more often, behind a goldsmith's bench, there are also female hands, capable of combining technical precision and artistic sensitivity in a unique balance.

Women goldsmiths bring a special intensity to this craft: a vision made of care, listening, and inner strength. At Rubinia, we believe that craftsmanship should be a tool for expression and redemption. And today we are happy to share the beginning of a new story.

Starting in September, a goldsmith woman who has faced a period of difficulty will join our workshop. Her training path was made possible thanks to the Filodamore 25 fundraising campaign, launched in recent months by Rubinia together with Fondazione Donna a Milano Onlus.

We chose to transform the energy of our project into a concrete gesture: to offer a scholarship to a woman who wanted to build a future in artisanal jewelry. An opportunity to express her talent, regain economic independence, and turn a passion into a wonderful job.

This initiative is not just a donation: it is an act of trust, of sisterhood, and an investment in the most precious value we have – people.

In a profession that requires precision, patience, and attention to detail, women bring a unique perspective. Their skill does not stop at technique: it includes empathy, aesthetic intuition, and the ability to transform every jewel into a story.

In our workshop, every piece is created with this awareness: there is no jewel without a story.

According to data from various third sector entities, economic independence is one of the fundamental conditions for female autonomy. Craftsmanship can offer a concrete way out of complex situations, providing real skills, professional dignity, and a network of relationships.

And for us, her presence in the workshop will not only be a technical help, but a powerful message: one can be reborn, even through a thread of love.

This is just the first step of a journey that we will continue to support. We believe that giving space to women in artisanal trades is a cultural duty, but also an opportunity to enrich the sector with new perspectives.

Why did Rubinia choose to support a female goldsmith?

Because we believe that craftsmanship can be a tool for personal rebirth, and we want to contribute to a fairer world through concrete actions.

Who funded the scholarship?

The scholarship was funded through the reward crowdfunding campaign Filodamore 25 between April and June 2025, with the support of over 400 people including customers, retailers, and supporters.

What will the new goldsmith do in Rubinia?

She will actively participate in a training course in Milan focused on goldsmithing. 

Will there be other similar initiatives?
